Blondieness

Schwarzkopf
blonde ULTIME
10-1 Light Cool Blonde

The sun has faded, and with it, so did my hair. I wanted a cooler, lighter shade of blonde and have never dyed my own hair permanently so I did take on a bit of a risk :/

I luckily came across my desired shade first time.  It was a cool but natural looking blonde. Very happy with the overall results. Here's a before after I quickly snapped on my phone.

It was easy to apply and eliminated all the brassy, yellow tones. It didn't dry out my hair either, it was surprising pretty soft and lovely. The conditioner included is marvellous.

Garnier Ultimate Blends Oil

I style my hair and hair extensions almost everyday, so I endlessly endeavor to find new ways to stop my locks from breaking off and giving up on me.

My extensions had become unmanageable, thought I would have to bin them and fork out for some new ones.

I had a free sample of this oil and made an accidental discovery that it's marvellous. My hair looks healthy, glossy, and is overall more manageable. This is now my most essential hair product. It doesn't make my hair greasy, just mends my hair issues.

Makeover Photo Shoot

Here is the beautiful Dulcie in one of my makeover photo shoots. Please visit my website for more pics :) http://emily-bannister.squarespace.com/

I wanted to create a sultry look with a light smokey eye. I used;

MAC Black Tied (light black shade)
MAC Satellite dreams (purple)
MAC Electra (silver)
Bojours 90 blanc diaphane (pearly white)

Mac Rebel is a lovely shade for the plum lipstick and Mac pretty please for a more natural look (first image)

I used the babyliss curling wand for the hair. I don't know where I would be without it now. I didn't do the curls too tight, I just used the thicker end and didn't use the heat on it for too long. I then gently brushed out the curls to create a more natural look. Hope you enjoy the makeup looks and the pics :)

Sunkissed Instant Self Tanning Mousse

After years of using St Tropez religiously I endeavored to find a cheaper alternative. This was proving difficult finding anything to compare to it, so I came to the conclusion that perhaps you get what you pay for in the world of self tanning. I came across this little gem for £3.49 and thought I may as well give it a go for the price.

I was sooo pleased with the results that I had to share my secret. It's super easy to apply with a tanning mitt, you get instant results, no streaks and it lasted well. I also found the smell was less potent than other brands of self tanner.

People have even been asking me if I've been on holiday.

Here is a quick before after pic I took on my phone. It was such a lovely find I couldn't let it go to waste.

Naked Basics

Despite being basic I didn't actually own anything else like this (and I own a lot of eye shadows). I now consider this palette to be mandatory. I have found it to be very versatile and use it for contouring too. I carry it everywhere with me ;)

Venus is the only demi-matte shade in the palette the rest are matte. I love matte eye shadows. Venus has a light shimmer that's spot on. I think it looks really pretty in the inner corners, on the brow bone, and I also use it as a highlighter.

Foxy and w.o.s are great base colours or appropriate for a natural look. Foxy has a yellow undertone and w.o.s has more of a pink undertone. I use foxy under my eyes and down my nose for contouring too.

Naked 2 I mainly use for blending everything together. It would also work well on a light eyebrow shade.

I use faint and crave the most.  I would say faint is the most versatile. Faint is great for the crease and I now also use it on my eyebrows, it suits the majority of tones. I usually blend faint and crave together to create a sultry look that isn’t too heavy.  I’m impressed with the deep pigmentation of crave.

Bleach London

I have been a Blondie my whole life. Naturally I became a tad bored with having a similar shade of hair for 23 years. I fancied a little change but nothing too drastic, so I thought I would progress to a different shade of blonde, rebel I know. My hair has been rather dull and brassy lately so I thought I would try some alternatives to spending lots of money at the hairdressers. After some research and discovering some good reviews I decided to try a couple of products out myself.

The first product I tried out was the Bleach London White Toner. I desired an ashier, lighter blonde. This product is only semi-permanent so I figured there wasn't too much to lose.

This was easy to apply with straight forward instructions. The reincarnation mask was lovely, this can be also be brought separately in a bigger tube, I will be purchasing this to keep my blonde hair in lovely condition.

So now for the before and after pictures. I am very pleased with the results, considering this is only a toner. Just what my hair needed for a little confidence boost. I will be very much looking forward to trying out more of their products. Being blonde I am very excited about this brand. Their products are available at boots.
Check out their website my lovelies http://bleachlondon.co.uk/

The Schwarzkoph, blonde ultime, 10-1 light cool blonde is the next hair dye I will be trying out as a toner
will only last 16-20 washes. So I will look forward to this one once my hair fades.

Hair Extensions

For years I never quite achieved the glamorous locks I desired. I have always had fine hair and not much to work with. I have tried numerous hair extensions over the years but found the results somewhat disappointing. Common flaws were thin wispy ends, a poor variety of shades or generally not enough hair which resulted in it blending badly.

I was a very happy bunny when I discovered HeadKandy hair extensions. So many people ask me how my hair is so long now. I get a lot of positive feedback.

They are a slightly higher price than the average hair extensions but trust me, the extra money is really worth it.

A major selling point for me is the quad weft. I didn't have to clip in loads and struggle to hide the pieces among my fine hair and tiny head. There is so much hair on this one piece alone.

The ends are beautiful and thick, no need to cut them. They are very easy to put in and even come numbered with a little instruction booklet.

I love my hair extensions! I feel so glamorous, my fine hair is no longer an issue.
